Reset Your Password
Student, Faculty, and Staff
If you signed up using your UC Berkeley credentials, any changes to your login settings will be made through the university.
Please visit the CalNet Authentication Service sign in or select one the options below for more information:
Guests
- Go to Forgot username/password
Enter the Username or Email Address you used to register and select Reset Password.
- If we find an account matching the provided information, you'll get an email containing your account's Username and a link to reset your password.
- Click the blue Reset Password button in the email to choose a new password and access your account (this link will expire after 4 hours).
Password Requirements
The password must be 8 or more characters long and contain at least 3 of the following 4 characters:
- An uppercase letter
- A lowercase letter
- A number
- A special character: !@#$%^&*
Password Security Tips
- Avoid Common Information: Don’t use easily guessable information like your name, birthdate, common phrases, or consecutive numbers.
- Be Unique: Do not reuse a password associated with other website accounts.
- Avoid Dictionary Words: Avoid using whole words that can be found in dictionaries, as automated tools can easily guess common words.
How to Find Your Username
To recover your username, go to Forgot username/password and enter your email address. You'll receive an email containing your account's username, along with a password reset link.
Not sure which login to use?
Enter your email address on the Username/Password Recovery and select Reset Password. If there is an account associated with your email address, you will receive your login information and password reset link.
If you haven't received an email, it's possible that your account was created using your university or college system login. To verify, try using the link provided below:
